Mr. Gandy had a goal of starting a School of Music in the Upstate of South Carolina that would be versatile in it's approach to Gospel music, offering the best value, and community oriented in sharing it's success.
The inspiration for a School of Music came through helping other musicians by shedding LIGHT on how to play Gospel music without sheet music.
"Helping them made me realize that thousands of musicians were being discouraged through not finding help with their problems in Gospel music."
Our students will have an uplifting experience that will clearly show them what they've been missing in today's piano lessons.
At the age of 4, Benny, learned to play Gospel music by ear on the organ, which inspired his musical interests and self-teaching of various instruments (including saxophone, clarinet, tenor sax, and bass clarinet). However, It wasn't until he became a student at Brevard College and Winthrop Univerisity that he took piano lessons, transforming his unique talent into the technical foundation which was to serve as the basis of his own developmental style.
